But not only that, but also the most random sh#t you can think of, like it will startup, then it won't startup, and now the latest is, it won't start up at all. So feeling lucky, I thought I would go ahead and install the Live update 5.2.2.Well, did I have some problems! I was getting CPU spikes of over 100% like 180%!? Which is totally illogical to me, because a percentage is out of 100 to begin with. I recently updated my computer because my old Dell Inspiron laptop died the other week, and have spent the last week reinstalling all my software and old data, and apart from all the normal nonsense you can expect from a Microsoft product, XP SP2 is now running fairly well. from 115 BPM to 160 BPM.Īll right, the problems are located in my case - and it does seem that rapidĪutomation changes could be a problem - as well as the weird case with theĮxternal instrument. The glitches occur at the same spotsĪll the time here as well, and it's always at spots where I've automated MIDI track, I inserted an external instrument track, pointed its MIDI to Thor,Īnd its audio input to Thor's output pair in Reason.īasically, I didn't alter anything - all I did was what the external instrument isĪs for the project that first made me start this thread: The culprit here And now comes the reallyĬurious part: I deleted the track with the audio input from Thor, and on the Track for an instance of the Thor synth in Reason. I narrowed the problem down to a single track combo - a MIDI+audio I was getting a spike and a glitch *all* the time - the exact same spot every I opened a rewire project with Reason in the L7 demo. Here are some really interesting observations I just did:
